Introductory Service Learning Training:

This two hour training answers key questions about service learning. Participants will leave this training with written resources and a presentation that succinctly explains the form, function and goals of service learning in the school setting. In addition, participants explore how service learning benefits their students, school and community; review sample projects; and learn how Children Inc.’s Mayerson Northern Kentucky Service Learning Initiative will assist them in the planning, implementation, and celebration of student service learning at their school.

Make-It-Take-It Training:

Make-It-Take-It trainings are one hour of interactive and collaborative project building. This workshop is for 8 to 15 participants that have an understanding of service learning but still want help building a high quality service learning experience. At the end of the hour each participant will take away a group generated project and small group or individual project maps. These maps include all the elements of the PARC model and assist the teacher and students in carrying out a high quality service learning project.
